Robert Hunter, Principal and Founder
For more than 30 years, Robert Hunter has successfully managed investment accounts for individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in Marin County, the San Francisco Bay Area, and across the country. A Registered Investment Advisor, he graduated cum laude from Dominican University with a B.S. in business administration. Also active in the community, he co-founded Bridge the Gap College Prep in Marin City and has been a volunteer with the Canal Community Alliance in San Rafael and First Tee in Oakland. Bob and his wife, Virginia, live in San Anselmo.
Carol A. McCollister, Senior Wealth Advisor
Carol McCollister most recently was a partner and investment advisor in the firm Executive Investment Advisors, providing investment management for individuals and multi-generational families for 15 years. Previously, Carol was owner and CEO of IMF Financial Corp. which structured and placed over $500 Million of financing for small to mid-size companies. Earlier, as an executive officer of IMF Group, Inc. she oversaw all finance and administration operations for the company. Carol received an MBA in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a Certificate of Financial Planning from Boston University. Wayne Best, Senior Wealth Advisor
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA, inactive) Wayne worked for Morgan Stanley for 13 years, serving as an investment advisor and associate vice president. Earlier in his career he was an auditor for Ernst and Young in Los Angeles and the controller for a commercial construction company based in San Rafael. He earned his B.S. in economics with a concentration in accounting at Cal Poly, SLO. In Wayne’s free time he volunteers with Redwood High School’s cycling team. He is also an avid runner, with a coveted Dipsea “Black Shirt.” Wayne is a 3rd generation Marin resident. He is married to Nancy, a veterinarian specializing in performance horses. Nancy volunteers for the annual Golden Gate Raptor Observatory “Hawk Watch.” They live in San Rafael with their two cats and a dog.
Edward J. Burke, Senior Wealth Advisor
Edward J. Burke has been an investment advisor and manager for more than 40 years, including 17 years as a corporate vice president with PaineWebber. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and managing the assets of high-net-worth clients. Mr. Burke became a registered investment advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1974, earned the designation Certified Financial Planner in 1978, and became a member of the adjunct faculty of the College for Financial Planning. Gerald Fegler, Senior Wealth Advisor, MBA
Jerry is a seasoned investment advisor and professional with over 25 years of experience in financial services. This experience with a number of large institutions such as Wells Fargo, Union Bank and others. He has advised individuals, families, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies regarding their investments. Jerry graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and from Santa Clara University with a Masters of Business Administration. Jerry and his wife Anita live in Oakland with their daughter Alex.
Richard S. Nair, Sr., CFA, Senior Wealth Advisor, MBA
Richard Nair, CFA, began his professional investment advisor career over 40 years ago. CFA charter holders are obligated to adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards governing professional conduct. As head of a major securities research department of a national investment firm on the West Coast, Blyth & Co., he analyzed hundreds of stocks and managed investment portfolios. Richard later helped to raise what today would be several billion dollars in equity and debt capital for more than fifty companies, and headed several corporate finance departments. He was a founding Director of Air Cal and Southwest Airlines and a Founder of The Stanford Bank in Palo Alto. Once an avid skier, Richard now enjoys snow-trekking, sailing in the summer on Lake Champlain, and cooking with his wife Katie. More
